.Kenny Kinugasa Tsui

Bsc (Hons), Dip.Arch, M.Arch (UCL)

Kenny Kinugasa Tsui is one of the founders and principal researchers in Horhizon. He was born in 1981 in Hong Kong, and studied architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UK. He studied under Dr. Marjan Colletti and Dr. Marcos Cruz.

He has won various awards, including the RIBA/LSC International Competition College for the Future joint 1st Prize (2004), Reardon Smith European Hotel Design Student Award 1st Prize (2003), AIA London/UK Excellence in Design Student Travel Award joint 1st Prize (2003 & 2006), and Commendation in Design for Diploma at the Bartlett. He has worked briefly in Hong Kong and Japan, before working for Richard Rogers Partnership in 2003-4. His work was exhibited across countries, and published in various magazines including the Architect’s Journal, Hinge HK, and Mesh. In 2004 he was one of the founders for the ETArchitecture group to curate an exhibition in Hong Kong, and published the book ETArchitecture. In 2006 he was an Architecture and Design tutor for STUDIO 3 at London South Bank University. In 2008 he has run a digital design workshop at Lund University, Sweden. He is currently a studio master with Tamsin Green for Studio Green.Kinugasa Tsui at Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture Paris (Awarded by Massimiliano Fuksas for The Best Studio Prize 2008). He is also a Digital Augmentation Design tutor at Royal College of Art London with Michael Chadwick. He curates the OS: LSBU lecture series with Tobias Klein, and co-edited the publication (with essays from lecturers, including Yael Reisner, Marcosandmarjan, Naja & deOstos, Nigel Coates, Raoul Bunschoten, Plasma Studio). He is currently working at Urban Salon Architects in London.
