.Electro Flesh Disorder
Author: Dietmar Koering

This reflexive rhytm is about the construction of extended phenotypes as animatronic art form- the aesthetic tactic is about collecting and transferring them into an animated artefact; a state of psychological closure; attitude of life becomes form. A virtual extended artefact as a “Virtual Extended Phenotype”. The model is a reflexive loop between its state as object and its use as an extended observer; the observer is in the system of virtual seduction. The reflexivity disconnects the person from the electronic template.

Electronic Synthesis

Acoustic resonance – the ‘voice’ of electronics is an active agent in contemporary music. The response line is fast, its mixing at high speed. The audience interacts with the stage – instant feedback loops between performance and audience reveals how its act to construct the system. Simultaneously the system is incomplete and responsive. The programmed body bends into the machine codes, a notation is being constructed between the machine and the body – it forms the binary as its speed checks objects – unseen virtual bodies in the body – other notations of the machined artefact.

Fusing language into the system alters the reactive agent between the virtual body and his actual body – it ‘stretches’ space between two forms of Phenotypes – the body is in real space and the body which is performing begins to construct Extended Phenotypes.

It is noise, it is the language of the machines! Filter bank algorithms begin to morph waves in pulses – saw forms into random bits. The past is edited for a moment, the future is not here we are living in real time – experiencing how electronics are blazing into the body.

The virtual is suspended as we experience is pumping up the body – refilling the cellular. The blood is full of electric waves missing into digital dreams; floating into consciousness – the new blood of virtual extended flesh. It creates nothing, it recuperates.
